Reviews from Readers

From:  Integral Houston Salon video conference:

From: Ted Saad of Integral Boston: “I just finished The Uncommon Path
by Mick Quinn and was blown away by it! This may be one of the most
comprehensive spiritual books to include both integral and evolutionary
spiritual teachings together. Mick's book is built on teachings from Ken Wilber,
Genpo Roshi, Andrew Cohen, Buddhist dharma, Christian theology, and others.

Beautifully written, compassionate, fierce, and full of clarity. Mick provides
the dharma in a dialogue format, making some challenging philosophical ideas
easier to digest. Moreover, this book is very practical as it engages to reader to
consider his/her values and priorities through several exercises. It evolves
you as you read it. If you read just one book this summer, this should be it!”

From: Jeff Carreira, Director of Education, EnlightenNext. Mick Quinn
has developed his own unique understanding of some of the core tenets
of Andrew Cohen’s Evolutionary Enlightenment and combined it with a
values-based approach to Integral coaching that is yielding real results
for many people.

From: Eagle de Botton, Zurich, Switzerland (founder of goodreality.org)
“I can tell you from my very own experience, that reading your book clarified
for me many things as for my own conditioning and relationship. In no doubt
that it has done a lot of good to my own evolution... I find my ability to
contribute by engaging with others, sharing my new understanding and
spreading the word of The Uncommon Path, a real blessing."

From: Arnis Venta, Evergreen, Co.  This book is not some fluffy, feel good,
do some yoga, go to a weekend retreat type of quick fix approach.

This book will absolutely challenge the way you think, act and react to most every situation in your life. Our conditioned thinking and ego attachment are the reason much of our suffering exists. Mick Quinn (the author) has expertly dissected, in a conversational approach, how we can all awaken. The book is laid out much like a student having a conversation with a very wise teacher. You can follow along with
the conversation very easily.

However, you will most likely have to reread a few of the passages to fully
understand the depth of knowledge that is being conveyed. That's a good thing!

The ideas are meant to challenge you. This book will have new and radical ideas
for most everyone who reads it. This is a must read for those who are truly serious about changing the world by starting with your "self". Read it and follow the
wisdom that the author is sharing with you to really start living a whole new awakened life.

From: Mike D in Florida. Great to hear of your continued success with
your book! I have just started to read it and have trouble putting it down.
great stuff Mick!

From: Sherri in Colorado. This book is a transformative power-house!
I'm loving every minute of The Uncommon Path! What a gift! Thank you so
much for bringing it into the world!

From: Dan W in New York.  The beginning brings up the essence of the
Heart Sutra. I like the book so much now that I've read quite a bit more,
that I'm ordering a second copy for wife!

From: Peter C in Washington. I am reading your book now and I had
to tell you - It's really great!!

From: Taylor in Boston. I heard your interview on the EnlightenNext
Webcast a few weeks ago and was inspired to buy your book, from which
I've already learned a great deal so thank you so much for your work.

From: Linda B in Colorado. What a great book! Just from reading this work
there has been a shift of consciousness; I now look at the things humans
are so caught up with and know they are trivial.

From: Chris Parish, Director of EnlightenNext, London. Mick Quinn is
a passionate evolutionary. His book, The Uncommon Path is his original
method to awakening our full potential. Mick applies the teachings of
Evolutionary Enlightenment as well as learnings from other approaches,
in a very practical and powerful way.

From: Cindy in Seattle. I found the values exercise enlightening. I especially
enjoyed looking at the intention for each value and determining whether or
not it is conditioned.. .

From: Faith in Alaska.  I am deeply grateful.  Your brevity and
clarity has given me the insight I needed to keep me on my true path,
and to see that I can release
more of the conditioned response.

From: Kay Craig in San Antonio. This work is just the uplifting I have
needed lately and I feel blessed to have found Mick's writings and teachings.
Sometimes it's like the wind blows and layers a message to our inner spirits
and joins them together, something beyond mere reason, and the collective
benefit is divine.

From: Caroline in Pennsylvania. My daughter and I are getting along much
better and I realized that my level of stress in dealing with my daughter is
directly proportional to the stress my mother inflicts on me with her
negativity. So I'm not sure if it's these weekly quotes that are having a
subconscious impact or not but I think this week's quote is finally a little
easier for me to understand.  Thanks for your wonderful writing.

From: Patricia Hampton in San Diego. As I continue to read your book I am
stunned and awed by its insightfulness and have never seen such depth of
understanding of the conditioned mind.

From: Eveline in Lisbon, Portugal. My soul is now aware of its main
purpose, which is to keep the connection with my most important value
so that the path can flow in my life like the water from the source.

From: Amy in Virginia. I keep a little book with me at all time in my briefcase,
 J. Krishnamurti's "You Are the World". Now that I have read your work I can
see some of the ways of the ego, it's amazing how much clearer it is to
understand what Krishnamurti is saying.  He says that learning is to act. It's one
thing to read about identifying the ego in conversation and in life, but it's so
much more effective to act on kicking ego-butt in conversations and
relationships!

From: Arnis in Denver. I've really thought a lot about your questions…
quite frankly, I've been overwhelmed pondering your survey.

From: Yvonne in NYC. I read the introduction in detail over my coffee
yesterday and let me tell you—it is magnificent.

From: Lynnda Pollio in NYC (Author of Soulseeds).  When we are ready
for truth, it appears. If The Four Insights has reached your hands, you are
ready for the truth of its extraordinary message.  (

From: Tara in Washington. I've recently begun asking my son Joshua (9) to
meditate with me. He got a lot out of the first try, as his attitude and demeanor
was noticeably calmer and friendlier the entire day. I will show Josh the
photo from the metaphor prior to meditating; great idea!

From: Kay Craig in San Antonio. Your work pulls from my background of
having read the "classics;" The Bible, Freud, Jung, all the theories,  Zen
Buddhism, etc. and de-mystifies these teachings, making a new  recipe
for hope and life renewed.  It is like an exquisite blend of tea for  a better life.

From: Ed Bobrow (Author of 12 books).  Some of what I read reminded me
of Krishnamurti

From: Dan Britt in New Jersey. It's very impressive and deep!  I've read a
lot of books like Tolle's Power of Now and Practicing the Power of Now but
yours has things that are brand new to me! ... it really helped me.

From: Catrina about weekend of teaching. All my notions became very
simple, so my feelings followed and have remained so
